12:10 am - going to inclusion though the http://en wikipedia. 'One of the main difficulties of the San Francisco burrito is the issue of structural integrity, but skilled burrito makers consistently produce huge burritos which do not burst when handled or eaten. A successful large burrito depends on an understanding of the outer limit of potential burrito volume, correct steam hydration, proper wrapping/folding technique, and assuring that excess liquid has been removed from the burrito ingredients prior to inclusion.'
i think i'm going to start babbling a little more. i mean, i like posting quotes, but perhaps i have gone a bit overboard.
actually, though the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_burrito article is very impressive.
clearly written by connoisseurs.

In Mexico, for instance, escapees who do not break any other laws are not charged for anything and no extra time is added to their sentence; however, guards are allowed to shoot prisoners attempting to escape.'

07:35 am - under their direct infringer how unexpectedly reasonable. IO Group argued that since Veoh transcoded user uploaded videos to Flash format it became a direct infringer and the materials were under their direct control, thereby disqualifying them for DMCA safe harbor protection. The ruling judge disagreed with the argument stating that "Veoh has simply established a system whereby software automatically processes user-submitted content and recasts it in a format that is readily accessible to its users."
how unexpectedly reasonable.

12:01 am - more Suda-51 came Suda-51 came Suda-51. Alex Ward, head of Burnout developers Criterion, has said "Suda-51 came here for the day a few weeks ago. He's a hardcore Burnout fan. I checked the servers - over 700hrs play."
I like that he actually plays games, makes him more "real".

10:05 pm - we never saw a T-72 would .

'The conventional wisdom right now is that the MBT's day is ending, but luckily we never saw what would happen if those three tank armies had poured through the Fulda Gap on some fine Sunday morning. (You definitely get the feeling that the plan involved attacking on a weekend, don't you?) With Soviet soldiers at the controls, and Soviet air support limiting USAF missions, a T-72 would have been a totally different machine from the Arab-crewed junkers littering the Middle East.'
map from http://techconex.com/tcblog/2008/04/05/mapping-world-war-iii-soviet-global-invasion-routes/
personally, i think the all-at-once plan they outline in the blog would have been _way_ optimistic. i mean, that would have been russia vs. the world. i could see any one of those plans working, but not 'attack everyone.'

07:32 pm - runs all the scripts inside that directory. I found a bug/security flaw in debian/ubuntu's Xsession file.
The script runs as you, after your .bashrc has run
It then does "ls /etc/X11/Xsession.d" and runs all the scripts inside that directory
Which allows you to turn "ls" into either an alias or a shell function and then get around any site specific stuff your administrator doesn't want you doing.
I found this out by adding "alias ls='ls --color'" to my bashrc, instead of "alias ls='ls --color=auto'".
Which made it so I couldn't log in.
And lead to over an hour of debugging.

For example I dropped in a .xmodmap

05:12 pm - Eventually Kahneman became how Eventually. 'Daniel Kahneman was a psychologist in the Israeli army and learned that his test for choosing military officers (seeing which men in a group took charge of a task to lift a telephone pole over a 6-foot wall) didn't work. Data revealed that his test had no correlation at all with how the soldiers actually behaved on the battlefield. Nevertheless, Kahneman's faith in his own judgment was so great that he continued to put soldiers through the test, ignoring the data that showed his test was worthless. Eventually, Kahneman became fascinated by his own "cognitive error" and started studying and cataloging the different ways that people misjudge the world around them.'
how meta!

04:56 pm - responsible drinking amongst consumers of such in. 'White Lightning is a brand of cheap white cider (or more accurately fermented corn syrup) brewed by Scottish Courage in the UK. Although originally available in a 3 litre bottle (advertised as 3 litres for the price of 2 litres), in 2004 Scottish Courage announced that bottles of White Lightning would be produced at a maximum of 2 litres in order to restore value to the "cider" drinks market and to pursue the perhaps difficult goal of promoting responsible drinking amongst consumers of such products.'
